Man Brings Back to Life an Old and Dirty Apple IIc



Even though old computers aren’t really capable of doing anything practical nowadays, they can often be major points of nostalgia to collectors and computer lovers. Built in 1984, the Apple IIc has 128K of RAM and a hard drive that was driven by a belt. Of the few that have survived, many don’t work anymore, but this guy got his hands on one that did, and he brought it back to its former glory.




With a lot of cleaning using hydrogen peroxide and other chemicals, he was able to remove the yellow tint on the plastic and clean off all of the gunk collected over the last 30 years. He had to fix a few minor issues on the internals, but other than that the old thing worked good as new!
